Granite Falls is a city in Snohomish County, Washington, United States. It is located between the Pilchuck and Stillaguamish rivers in the western foothills of the Cascade Range, northeast of Lake Stevens and Marysville. The city is named for a waterfall on the river that is located north of downtown on the Stillagumish River.
Today’s town covers only about 231 acres with some 25% of all homes fronting on the water. First homesteaded in 1886, the area proved ideal for farming of strawberries, vegetables, and even holly. It was a tranquil place for decades, but as progress affects all communities, developers were increasingly interested in this prime location.
This slow growth cycle continued until the mid-1990s, when the city annexed 1,300 acres of undeveloped land that became the site of the current master-planned community of Snoqualmie Ridge, now referred to as Snoqualmie Ridge noqualmie Ridge I includes 2,250 dwelling units, a business park, a neighborhood center retail area
