Less than 4% of the city land is zoned commercial; most of that is in one location, and there are no industrial areas.

Issaquah Highlands is a planned community and mixed-use neighborhood in Issaquah, a suburb of Seattle, Washington, United States. The neighborhood, located northeast of downtown Issaquah at Grand Ridge on the Sammamish Plateau, was planned in the New Urbanism style and opened in 1998 after a decade of planning and construction.

Kenmore, Washington

The Kenmore shoreline and north remained heavily forested during the development of neighboring Bothell and Woodinville, both of which had settlements as early as 1870. John McMasters entered the Kenmore scene in 1901 and operated a cedar shake mill on the Lake Washington shore.
